Soft Hackle Sand Eel

4.95

Another interesting pattern of Jack Gartside, that he first designed as a trout fly that like the Gurgler transcends it's original use.  We've found the soft hackle(marabou) to be an exceptional sand eel pattern in certain situations. It's main drawback is it's tendency to foul while attempting long cast so it's best used during calm morning/evenings when stripers are chasing sand eels at your feet. Available in Tannish Olive, Chartreuse and Black/Purple,
